Vintage Franciscan Apple Earthenware Bread & Butter / Dessert Plates — Set of 8

A beautiful set of 8 vintage Franciscan Apple bread & butter plates, featuring the iconic hand-painted apple and leafy branch design.
Made in California, these charming little plates are traditionally designated as bread & butter plates, but their approximately 6¼–6⅜” size makes them especially useful as dessert, appetizer, snack or luncheon plates. 
The Franciscan Apple pattern was introduced in 1940 and became a classic of California-made earthenware. 
Condition: Excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, or other damage noted.
