Bundle for SteveVintage 1954 Roger Tory Peterson Prints “Birds of Our Land”
A charming vintage Roger Tory Peterson Robin print from his Birds of Our Land series, produced in 1954 for John Morrell & Co.
This beautifully illustrated print features a robin in a simple everyday American setting. Peterson intentionally gave this robin a more familiar, domestic feel, placing the bird along a sidewalk rather than in a traditional garden setting.
Roger Tory Peterson (1908–1996) was a renowned American ornithologist, naturalist, and artist whose groundbreaking field guides transformed the way generations of people identified and appreciated birds.
The Birds of Our Land series consisted of 12 Peterson paintings, with familiar birds portrayed in approachable, often homey settings. The 1954 prints were produced by John Morrell & Co. on medium-weight matte paper.
